It sounds like my speakers can't handle the power. If I calibrate in game where you strum really hard, that seems to just make it worse. Even my guitar's input is quiet in game compared to at the desktop with "listen to this device" enabled. It's plenty loud: the tuner works properly, notes played at the menu are fine, et cetera. I have no problem actually hearing the guitar in the game but I have to pick the strings REALLY hard to get the game to recognize them in the tuner. So if there is a song where there is no guitar playing and little noise and I play notes I can hardly hear/can't hear my guitar and I have been able to do that before. My instrument sounds too loud or too quiet. This allows to pick up enough volume from your instrument to trigger the note detection. Calibration keeps telling me to "play louder". For example if I'm in windows media player the songs will be loud and then if I go into Rocksmith I need to turn up my speakers about 50% to match. But in "Learn a Song", I can't hear myself play. You may unpack the CDLC, adjust the levels and repack it again. It always seems to reset it or adjust it itself just to tell mee the input is too quiet. Sometimes when I play on bass the level is at 17 and it makes it too quiet EDIT: I thought you were on pc but that is the fix for pc that I use So I finally bought the game for pc as well, after four years on ps3. No matter what I try, I can't get through calibration/tuning. Okay, something I've noticed is that Rocksmith seems very quiet compared to other programs. I've got my volume nob on full and the bass nob is set to medium on my actual bass. Now, I can set the windows volume and the sound is loud enough to fix my issue. On your desktop, right click on the volume button, click on sounds, go to recording and find the realtone cable, click on properties and go onto levels and turn it up. The game picks up the sound okay. I have a really old guitar (50 years old actually) and have the knobs all the way up, I'm thinking maybe it's just too old and isn't made to be as loud as newer ones?
